KN Ananthapadmanabhan to officiate his first International match (Men) as field Umpire on 12th March 2021 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, match between India v England (1st IT20) He becomes the 4th International Umpire from Kerala after Jose Kurishinklal (Trivandrum), Dr. KN Raghavan (Calicut), S Dendapani (Ekm ) Also he become the first Kerala Umpire to included in ICC’s panel Ananthapadmanabhan has officiated in all major domestic events including the IPL. He also was the official in the Ranji Trophy final between Bengal and Saurashtra last year and even stood at both ends for a while after Shamshuddin got injured. He passed his BCCI panel Umpiring exam in 2007 He is the only player from Kerala played more than 100 First-Class matches (105 matches) He served as the National Junior Selector role in 2005-06 season with Pravin Amre, Sanjeev Sharma, Kamal Das and Sanjeev Rao Also he was the qualified Level II Coach from National Cricket Academy, BCCI
